FireStat Web Application

CLIENT: FEMA (VIA The White House)

Through the National Day of Civic Hacking, myself and colleague Matthew Clark, took on. a one day challenge to build out a web app that would allow users to visualize fire data from FEMA’s NFIRS database. The goal was to create educational content to help fire departments, local government and citizens better understand their needs.

The project ultimately received recognition from the White House and we were invited to the Champions of Change event. Over the next several months I continue to work with both the White House and FEMA as a volunteer advisor on internal projects.
