What I’m Looking For

Working for a variety of corporate and freelance clients over the last fifteen years has given me the opportunity to explore the types of projects that offer the best fit for me and those where I can most successfully contribute. Those projects typically include the following:

  • Startups and small to mid-size teams: Smaller teams tend to provide the greatest opportunity to collaborate across multiple roles and take on a greater stake in the ownership of a project. With a background in marketing, design, front-end development, and art direction, I enjoy working directly with key stakeholders across the organization and being involved in the full design process from end-to-end.

  • User-centered design: I believe that user needs should be at the core of design decisions and that user considerations should be an integral part of the design process. Business objectives and priorities, costs, and other considerations should absolutely factor into the design decisions, but user needs should be central to that process.

  • Agile processes: Flexibility is key to a successful design project and those that follow agile methodologies tend to best embrace the concept of iterative design and continuous improvement. Rarely is design as successful when implemented as a “one-and-done” process.

If this sounds like your project, and you think I might be a good fit, please reach out to me using the form below.
